Host Venue

“I have always believed in pursuing the unexpected and unexplored. Wakeboarding, while initially unknown to many here in the Philippines, has long been a hot and in demand sport in Europe, North America, and Asia. I decided to bring in something that I was most certain Filipinos would love. I took a gamble on an idea believing it would work-and it did.” – Gov. LRay Villafuerte

The hot new destination best in the world!

GET THRILLED

The three-year old CamSur Water Sports Complex or CWC, home of the 2008-2009 wakeboarding is the first major attraction that has brought in a fresh wave steady stream of visitors. And these are not your ordinary tourists- they’re the world’s top ranking wakeboarders from Europe, North America, and Asia. These extreme sports junkies come to enjoy water sports like wakeboarding, water skiing, kneeboarding and wake skating on the six-hectare cable park that they swear is the world’s best. (A cable park is where one can enjoy water sports without the need of a boat pulling the rider.) This man-made lake has a strategically placed island in the middle that blocks the waves of one rider from disturbing the next, it has a six-point cable system that is top-of-the-line technology from Germany and it’s got 12 obstacles from which the riders can practice their jumps and tricks. It comes as no surprise that the CWC was recently named venue of the 2008 and 2009 World Wakeboarding Championships, where no less than 2000 international wakeboarders competed.

“Each province has his own identity and I’d like to build and develop Camsur’s individuality as the country’s extreme sports capital. We are a land of adventure, extreme fun, and excitement.” – Gov. LRay Villafuerte

Guests are spoiled with all the accommodation options available within the provincial capitol complex where the Camsur Watersports Complex is also located. These places are ideal to stay in whether you are in the area to enjoy wakeboarding and other extreme sports, or if you’re here to explore the beaches of Caramoan and other spots in Camsur.

For those with a taste for luxury, there is the Villa del Rey. Enclosed in its own private garden retreat, these Asian-inspired cottages have such high-end touches as personal outdoor hot tubs and a private spa facility.

For the more adventurous tourist who wants to live a stone’s throw away from the cable park, there are the Villa del Rey Cabanas. These newly-built rooms are sparse but comfortable with air-conditioning, cable TV, and a spacious bathroom.

For a unique living experience, there are the Villa del Rey trailer homes. These unconventional trailers have been transformed to modern and comfortable air-conditioned quarters.

The Mansion Suites was once a guesthouse that the Governor used to entertain visitors in. It is now a charming 15-bedroom hotel.

“Nature at its finest. A haven where you can relax, unwind and re-charge with major comforts right within reach.” – Gov. LRay Villafuerte

Captivating CamSur

Caramoan

A rural town eastward of Camarines Sur, or Camsur – a quintessential peninsula straddling across Maqueda Channel on the East, the Pacific Ocean on the North, and the Lagonoy Gulf on the South – Caramoan is a remote oasis of diverse natural attractions and a home to unspoiled islets with several pocket white-sand beaches, partially hidden by asymmetrical rock formations. The islets are 30 to 45 minutes boat ride apart from each other.
